The President of the Slovak republic, Andrej Kiska met the young IT experts from eastern Slovakia

The president of Slovak republic, Andrej Kiska, accepted the invitation of the company T Systems Slovakia as a part of his visit in Kosice. The main theme of discussion with the management of the company was the growing path of the eastern Slovak region, running the company and its benefits for the region. “When I asked the director of T Systems Slovakia what is his opinion of working in Slovak division in comparison with other countries, he said one thing that I, as a president, like hearing the most: There are amazing people in Slovakia and this division belongs to the most successful one in the world,” said the president of the Slovak republic, Andrej Kiska.



Despite his work load and busy schedule, he was able to find a time slot for discussion with young IT specialists. He talked about the beginnings in his career, successes and failures, motivation not to give up and about the reasons, why he entered the politics. The president has praised the employees, whose work is directly connected to functions like oil processing, car manufacturing and food production industry.

Managing director of T-Systems Slovakia Daniel Giebel perceives this meeting with the president as gesture of high quality work that is widely recognized: “We operate in Kosice for 11 years. We evolved from a 22 employees company to a company that employs almost 4000 people. Therefore I am proud of quality work that we execute.”

TSSK is a founding member of Kosice’s IT Valley which main role is to improve IT education as well as professional development of IT specialists. “We care about the expertise of our employees; therefore we provide them with number of opportunities for their career growth through our internal development programs.” Concluded Daniel Giebel.



Considering these steps that directly influence the expertise of people within IT sector, T-Systems Slovakia became a strong pillar of IT Valley. During its function it has significantly contributed to the rise of highly qualified experts from original 1000 people to the current 10000 people in this region.
