Welcome speech by Managing Director of DT IT Solutions Slovakia

 Andreas Truls 

In 2004, he joined T-Systems as Regional Solutions Sales for Central Europe. He subsequently moved to Tokyo/Japan as Vice President of IT Operations at T-Systems Japan. Consequently, he assumed responsibility for Computing Services and Solutions Asia Pacific, working for T-Systems Malaysia. In 2015, Andreas was promoted to Vice President of IT Operations APAC & Americas. Since June 2020, Andreas has been working as the executive director of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia. As an IT executive, he has extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable growth strategies that deliver greater shareholder value in the outsourcing industry. He has 18 years of experience in senior positions, leading large technical and service teams in Malaysia, Singapore, China, Brazil, North America and Mexico.

  Martin Palko  

Martin Palko is Chapter Lead of Open Sovereign Cloud team in Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia. Previously he has worked as Project Manager on various infrastructure projects for german enterprise customers, predominantly in banking industry. Responsible for 25 people he and his team is trying to deliver new cutting edge product to the german healthcare sector.

Jörn Hoos 

Jörn Hoos is a senior developer in the area of blockchain, web3 and SSI, working for the Deutsche Telekom since 2004. He and his colleagues are running the first blockchain application for DT IT in production. Before (besides other stations) he worked as a conceptionist for the Magenta Service App. He is always keen on new technologies and likes to work “hands-on”. Jörn lives in Bad Salzuflen, Germany.

  Tomas Breskovic, PhD.  

Tomas Breskovic is the founder of the startup Arttege Ortho 3D. He successfully completed his doctoral studies in the field of biomedical engineering at the Technical University in Kosice, where he also worked as a CAD/CAM designer on shared projects of various focus. He completed an Erasmus+ study stay and internship in Portugal. For three years he worked as a Communication Manager in the international student organization Erasmus Student Network. In the past, he also worked as a Designer/Draftsman of Shape and Reinforcement Drawings.

 Ing. Tomas Pavlik, PhD. 

Tomas Pavlik has been working for more than 10 years at the Technical University of Košice, where he is involved in the development of international innovation and R&D projects. He is currently working at the University Science Park Technicom as an advisor to the Enterprise Europe Network for EU financial instruments. He founded the online magazine and podcast grantUP, which communicates grant topics in an understandable way. Since 2022, he has been acting as the National Contact Point for Horizon Europe in Slovakia in the field of digitisation.

 RNDr. Jana Shepa, PhD. 

Dr. Shepa is the assistant professor in the field of Physical Chemistry at the Faculty of Science at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Her research is currently focused on a development of new generation of electrochemical sensors, which could significantly contribute to better and more effective treatment of civilization diseases and commercialization of new and more efficient biological sensors. She is an author of 21 scientific articles with h-index 11 and more than 260 citations in database Scopus. She is also a member of the Slovak Chemical Society, the European Young Chemists Network (EYCN) and the electrochemical societies The Electrochemical Society (ECS) and the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE). Together with prof. RNDr. Vanýsek, Csc. and other students from the Czech Republic and Slovakia she works in the Czechoslovak student chapter ECS founding team. She is actively involved in the organizational team of the Young Slovak Chemical Society Forum.

 RNDr. Andrej Minich, PhD. 

RNDr. Andrej Minich, PhD., completed his Ph.D. in biotechnology, focusing on hospital-acquired infections and antibiotic resistance. Simultaneously, he studied topics in protein expression using innovative predictive tools. Now, as part of the Medirex Group Academy n.p.o. research team, he helps develop MGA n.p.o.'s human and microbiological biobanks and collaborates with the project management team on the development of projects focusing on digitalization and personalized medicine in Slovakia.

 Jan Majoros 

Jan is the Head of R&D for X-ray devices, mechatronic products and medical electronic, responsible for relations and eco-system within Siemens Healthineers in Slovakia. With over 25 years of experience in software development in a management role within the healthcare sector, he is passionate about the topic of artificial intelligence. Having led global software engineering teams, he possesses strong capabilities in R&D. Holding certitificates for ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and ISO27001, Jan brings as well international work experience from Germany and the USA.

 Kamil Barbierik 

Kamil Barbierik is an experienced developer of smart solutions with managerial skills. He is leading an Advanced development team at Siemens Healthineers in Košice. Before he was a senior member of a team in SW Architect role designing data acquisition tool acquireing data from various non destructive rail track analysis systems (ultrasonic, linear video and eddy current measuring systems) and tools for further synchronization and analysis of acquired data.

 Ing. Maros Stredansky 

Maros Stredansky is a PhD student at the Department of Cybernetics and Artificial Intelligence of the FEI faculty, alongside his research he works as a Python developer in the field of pathology. His work involves the development of medical devices that automate the collection of human tissue, its processing and analysis.

Branko Stefanovic, PhD. completed engineering and doctoral studies in Biomedical Engineering at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Measurement, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University in Košice in 2017 and 2023. He has experience designing and producing individual prosthetic or orthotic aids, implants, and other medical devices using CAD/CAM technologies. He is currently a researcher at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University in Košice, Slovakia, and is engaged in research in prosthetics and orthotics. He is also a co-originator of the European patent "Personalized medical device and method of its preparation", where he participated in the development of prenatal implants used to compensate for cleft lip and palate defects in newborns.
