Martin Šuraba – A Trainer with a Passion for Technology and Community Building

This month, we continue introducing more of our internal trainers. Today, meet Maťo Šuraba. In short – engaged, full of ideas, positively minded, and always, ALWAYS ready to contribute and support a good cause. Learn more about him in the article.

Martin began his Téčko journey in 2018 as an ICT Administrator III. Alongside his daily responsibilities, he actively delivers internal trainings on Linux System Administration, Ansible, and Introduction to GitLab. He’s currently working on the Cloud Engineering and Operation project and plays a key role in the transition of our training rooms into “Virtual Labs,” which will support employee learning across the company.

Tech, Teamwork & a Touch of Imagination

If he had to describe his workday in one word, it would be technology. What excites him most about his job is building communities where he can collaborate with others toward shared goals – something he finds truly inspiring. And what gets under his skin at work?
“What annoys me most are self-proclaimed seniors,” Martin says with a thoughtful smile.

His most heartwarming work experience? Being invited to this interview. Thanks for the kind words, Martin – we’re happy we made your day.

If he could travel through time, he’d head straight to the era of Jules Verne’s novels, which have always fascinated him. And if he could become a cartoon character, he’d be Sport Billy. Why?
“I loved that cartoon, and I’d love to experience his world.”

Recharging in Nature, Connecting Through Community

Outside of work, Martin enjoys running, hiking, and reading – his favorite activities that recharge his energy for the days ahead.

When he hears the word “community,” he thinks of “a vast space for people doing something together for a good cause. Many of them don’t even know each other personally, and that’s exactly what brings them closer together. I’m really proud to be part of our trainer community.”

Let’s speed things up!

City or countryside? – City
