General description
Sovereign Cloud is T-Systems' cloud offering for clients with high sovereignty needs. Clients in regulated sectors such as healthcare and the public sector are put in complete charge of their data – on an open-source platform, hosted in Europe. Our focus is to build new product – Sovereign Cloud within T-systems international cloud portfolio. Senior DevOps engineer is directly responsible for design and implementation of Kubernetes based Platform as a Service offering to Sovereign Cloud.
As the DevOps Engineer Professional for Sovereign Cloud you will be co-creating next-generation cloud solutions, with the focus on EU healthcare, security and public sector area. Design and implement a set of sovereignty controls and measures, including encryption and identity management and control function over relevant parts of the Sovereign Cloud. DevOps Engineer is responsible for entire lifecycle of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines and platform as Code approaches. Takes account and defines automated configuration management, release management, build, test and deployment activities. Provides prototypes and concepts for further automation of assigned technology.
Accountabilities:
- Contact person for stakeholders (Product Manager, Product Owner, Operations Team, Customer)
- Specific platform configurations, network, application, security
- Support in application development and maintenance
- Continuously optimize the software development, releasing and deployment cycle to improve reliability test efficiency and build processes (Automation, scaling, CI/CD workflows, Git)
- Improve platform development and release lifecycle efficiencies by modernizing our processes & workflows
- Application of agile development methods (processes and tools). Participation on Agile/Scrum events (Daily stantups, sprint planning, retrospective sessions and customer sprint reviews)
- Support in platform operations, specific platform configurations, tracking of feature requests, operational requirements, application - end-2-end performance tests, planning resources, and security improvements
- Contact person for customers (operations, software development)
Requirements
Education
- University degree
Experience
- 3-5 years experience in the area of responsibility
Special technical requirements
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes (or similar) container-based technologies
- Experience with scripting languages (Go/Python/Bash,)
- Experience with Automation tools and automation deployments (Ansible/Salt-stack/Terraform/Helm)
- Experience with CI/CD in a Kubernetes environment and repository management
- Expert in automation with Git (GitHub, GitLab) and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
- Experience with Linux OS
- Experience with monitoring and visualization tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Instana)
- Experience with databases is advantage (Postgres, MySQL, HANA)
- Experience with streaming and indexing is advantage (Kafka, Elastic Search)

Salary
Final salary is negotiable.
We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 3100€/brutto.
